the SAP asked me to start a blog here on SDN after I wrote a “SAP-Heft” for the Galileo Press. The title of the SAP-Heft is called “Rich Internet Application on WebAS”. In this publication you find my experiences about how to split frontEnd an backEnd development.
During my last projects I was more and more convinced that Rich Internet Applications (“RIA”) will become a major technology of tomorrows web architecture.
Many companies – such as Microsoft (XAML), Netscape (XUL), Macromedia (MXML) – develop their own browser based languages that will enable tomorrows web applications to become active.
One major component of RIA are the webservices. The WebAS (and all SAP-Systems) embed webservices already, i.e. you can switch almost any ABAP function to a living webservice with just a mouse click.
In future, I will post some more information and articles here.

Ciao for now
