In the Morning I started with “Advanced Portal Content Creation Features”. A highlight was the URL iView which have the possibility to capture a specific content of a Webpage. Unfortunately it was not possible to get the Drag and Relate and the Object Based navigation example running. I will try this now at home in the EP 6.0 with Patch Level 7.

At lunch time I’ve asked the experts from Rapid installer for which Platforms it is available. It is available for SAP Enterprise Portal 6 and the SAP CRM Server 4.0. If you want to get it, you have to ask your local SAP Sales representative.

We are currently implementing CRM and so I went to the Session “Mobile Client Technology”. This is one of four Mobile Technologies SAP offers. The others are SAP Mobile Infrastructure, Mobile WebDynpro and WebSAPConsole. The Mobile Client Technology dates back to 1999. Development is done in the Mobile Application Studio (MAS) which then creates VB code. In the future the MAS will be integrated in the Visual Studio .NET. To get a seat in the next session, I left before finishing all examples.

My final session on this day was “Operating SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0”. Although I came to the room 15 minutes before start it was already so packed that it was not possible to get a seat. So we sit down at the floor. It was an interesting session. I will abstract it in another Weblog when I’ve tested it on my system.

18:00 – Time for the Evening Event. Party time – excellent. At seven a Rock Band started to play many famous Rock Songs. And there was not only the band there were also dancers. Look at the pictures! After the Band a DJ entered the Stage and played good dance music till midnight when I left. My back is still hurting from headbanging.

Pictures from Day 2 including the evening Event.
