The Birds of a Feather sessions in San Diego are only a week away. Six people signed up to hold a session and here is the current schedule.
Apparently it is a really nice setting. We have 4 corner theaters (A,B,C,D as I will call them until I know a better name) in the SDN Clubhouse with presentation equipment and a couple of chairs in front of them. Ideal for the informal interactive character of BoFs.
I checked to make sure that the sessions that people singed up for don’t overlap. For example Bill Barthel is having a SSO in the real world session, but also would like to be part of An Ocean Of Code: Analysis and Visualization of ABAP Programs so I spread these.
Hope I have not overlooked any scheduling conflicts.
The blurbs to the sessions you find on the Wiki page.
5:30 – 6:30
A: Matthias Zeller Interactive Forms based on Adobe software Roundtable Discussion
B: Bill Barthel SSO in the Real World
C: Markus Cherdron Become a Web Dynpro COP (component oriented programmer)
D: Mark Finnern Posts, Points and Profile : SDN and Reputation
Update: (Hurray: Last two slots just filled)
C: Harald Reiter User automation and LDAP synchronization
D: Marc Goodner Connections: REST, Web services, Social software and the Semantic web
As said before, of course we will go to a bar close by after this official program is over, so plan accordingly.
As you can see there are still two slots open. So if you feel passionate about a project, development area or something that you are doing and want to find likeminded people to discuss it with, stragegize over possible solutions or projects, sign up on the Wiki.
It’s the part of this year’s TechEd I am looking forward the most, because the people that are really interested in a theme take part and it is not a preaching, but a high level discussion and new insights are guaranteed and it really doesn’t matter if there are only a handful of people, the session can still blow your mind and you come out of it being happy, energized and feeling alive.
