Back in July, we released our first DVD product: the SAP NetWeaver™ Know-How DVD. This was our first attempt to build an off-the-shelf SAP NetWeaver knowledge product consisting of a wide range of technical content with a focus on media-rich eLearning materials.

Some of you already told us you were looking for this type of offline offering: Buried in a customer basement without Internet access whatsoever, having access to a dial-up connection, or simply looking to better use the time spent on the train or in the middle seat of the back row in economy (“sorry, we are out of chicken – would you like to try the kids’ meal instead?”).

…and we did. We tried to make it a one stop shop for both NetWeaver enthusiasts and wannabes so that you can take this knowledge tool with you anywhere and everywhere you go. We even tried to turn the presenters into movie stars and so we created a short, Hollywood style, DVD trailer showcasing some of the included sessions.

We still weren’t sure we fully caught your attention and so we announced a raffle: five people who would order the DVD during August would each win a 128 MB USB stick with an integrated MP3 player! Apparently it worked and the DVD got a lot of exposure. Don’t expect SAP to raise guidance for its fiscal year because of the DVD (would have been nice...), but you can definitely expect to get back your investment in the form of top notch SDN services – both online and offline.

So, after all this – who are the winners? Well, hopefully all of you out there who got the DVD already feel like winners, but 5 of you are really going to be thrilled. Congratulations to:

  1. Jos Batist of Sara Lee, Nederland

  2. Juergen Mayrbaeurl of CSC Austria AG

  3. Don Bowne of NEC Solutions (America)

  4. Roland Gartzky of Reno Fashion & Shoes GmbH

  5. Isabell Schneider of SAP Deutschland AG

And while listening to your favorite songs downloaded (legally...) to your new MP3 player, don't forget to tune back in to SDN!
