SAP NetWeaver™ provides an integrated business planning platform for all types of applications – enabling integrated business planning, simulation, and forecasting.
Starting with SAP NetWeaver '04, this planning functionality is delivered as part of SAP Business Information Warehouse.
The goal of this session is to give you an idea of the features and functions covered by the BW-BPS Business Planning and Simulation framework in SAP BW. We will explain this SAP component offering with regard to manual data entry and rule-based creation of plan data – using planning functions. Furthermore, you will find out how to accelerate planning processes by collaboration and automation.
Step by step, we will create a complete planning scenario from scratch. The scenario will cover all relevant modeling objects – from data selection and persistence layer to the Web-based, end-user interface.
Target audience are people intermediately experienced in SAP BW with no or limited prior exposure to SEM-BPS.
