Open Source IDE from SAP?

All Fellow NetWeaver Developers,

SAP Netweaver Developer Studio is built on top of Eclise editor an open source development environment. I was wondering about what direction SAP NetWeaver Developer studio is going turn?

Is it going to be an Open Source IDE?

Is it going to be available free for all SAP Developers and as well for Java Developers in Non-SAP Environments?

What do you guys think is going to happen to this IDE?

How would you like to see it in Java IDE arena?

My thoughts are that SAP is going to make this as an “Open Source Tool” as NetWeaver is opening its doors to integrate into various Enterprise solutions. It already started to integrate into .Net Technologies, Web Sphere technologies.

the key pieces of IDE is webdypro, java dictionary and DTR. The goal of sap is to make the Java IDE close as much as to ABAP workbench. That's how SAP differentiate itself from others. How come it will be OPEN-Source? open-source is just a dream, the real-world meat will never be open source, otherwise how can they make money and who covers the heavy investment.
