SAP ViewPoint has been powering SDN’s DevToday for quite some time (DevToday is located under the Services section). Now, the same technology has been adapted to provide you with an exciting new look on weblogs!

SAP ViewPoint’s most powerful feature is its 5 red stars out of 5 rating system. You can now easily indicate what topics or author are interesting to you and SAP ViewPoint will deliver to you the relevant weblogs. The higher a topic or an author is rated, the higher relevant weblogs show on your top weblogs page.

Your ratings of different topics, along with those of your peers, are visible to other users on aggregate. Just look for the grey stars 3 1/2 grey stars out of 5 to see what other people are thinking of a topic before rating it yourself. For privacy reasons, ratings of authors are never shared publicly.

Another cool feature of SAP ViewPoint is its ability to slice and dice the blogs by topic as well as by author. Simply click on a topic or author and filter your top weblogs accordingly. The weblogs are still ordered by importance to you so it’s easy to find what you want.

Reading a weblog and looking for the occurrence of a topic? Check out the marker tool Icon of marker tool to the right. All these features make SAP ViewPoint one of the best ways to browse SDN’s weblogs.

So what are you waiting for, go check it out! SAP ViewPoint on Weblogs is located at https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/devnews.sdn?url=/view/x.blogs/star.

We’ve also created an experimental SAP ViewPoint on SAP Notes which can be found at https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/devnews.sdn?url=/view/x.notes/star. Give it a go too.

And most importantly, please send us your feedback either by commenting on this weblog or by emailing sdn@sap.com?subject=ViewPoint. Your comments do make a difference.
