Today I flew back to the US, but I am not back in the office yet. The the very interesting BlogOn the business of social media event is happening tonight and tomorrow. I am on the panel about Metrics of Influence:
This session will feature the audience discussion as content, about how people become influential online, what others use to understand authority and influence, what people need to know about authors they don't know, to understand the context and authority that person has in an online community. The discussion will also address what that kind of influence means, as well as the influence they have with their readers.
To the panel I will bring the SDN perspective, what we are doing and have in the works on how people become influential within the SAP Developer Network, the online as well as the physical one. (If they want to.)
I am especially looking forward to hear the people behind Microsoft's Channel 9: Lenn Pryor, Jeff Sandquist and Robert Scoble talking about Business Transparency. How do they balance between openness, business secrets, patents, and possible litigations. Going to be interesting.
BlogOn also has some great community tools, that we may learn from for the SAP TechEds.
They are sold out, but will Webcast the whole event. Check it out.
