Unable to enable the HXE tenant for XSA

Hi there,

I'm facing a problem regarding the HXE tenant database. I intend to enable the HXE tenant for XSA, so therefore I need to provide the password for the SYSTEM user for tenant and physical database. However, I have never defined one of these.

In the installation process, I generated a new password for the 'HANA database master'. The default operating system administration user password 'HXEHana1' hasn't been changed. Now I'm unable to enable the HXE tenant, as there is the error message 'FAILED to access database running on hxehost:39015 as user 'SYSTEM': [10]: authentication failed.'

Which password is necessary for the SYSTEM user? Are the required ones the same, as they are for the same user (SYSTEM)?

Hi Bjarne,

The password for SYSTEM and all other default users is what you set up for "HANA Database master".

That interface asks for the tenant and systemdb SYSTEM users, which are different user with the same name. But the password for both is the same you set during the setup script.
