Once the Windows upgradation is completed then the respective modules have to check whether all the standard and custom transactions and reports are working as expected.

Step1.

(In our case in SCM Module) we have found that there were many custom enhancements, and few fields were added in the standard tables after upgradation which impacted the functionality of some applications.

Also, we have noticed that some enhancements are deactivated which we have identified in SPAU and SPDD activities.

In our case there we about 1677 SAP notes that got added from different modules

These need to be segregated based on each module and need to check the impact of the SAP Note

Step3.

These SPAU activities need to be adjusted accordingly which will save in a Transport.

Step4.

Once the SPAU and SPDD activities are completed make sure the development system is working as expected.

Step5.

 Upgradation of Quality system

challenges- changes in the table where there were additional fields in standard tables when compared to previous version.

Few SAP notes added automatically during upgradation of windows which impacted the flow of business.

some of the enhancements, especially implicit enhancements will go obsolete after windows upgradation that need identified and steps to be taken to add them again.

Need to check the impact of SAP OSS notes that are added by default during the upgradation process based on the component and version of the upgraded SAP system which impacts the business flow.

Import the SPAU and SPDD activities TR that are created during UED system.

Post UEP upgradation all the relevant TR's need to be imported to the new system for the easy flow of business.

An in-place upgrade allows you to go from an older operating system to a newer one while keeping your settings, server roles, and data intact. This article describes you how to move to a later version of Windows Server by using an in-place upgrade.

Thankyou!
