Not able to see HANA db in Analysis for Microsoft Office, even successfully connecting ODBC with HANA

Hello All,

I need your help.

My Microsoft office is a 32 bit software.

and so i have to install Analysis for Microsoft Office too of 32 bit.

Next, i want to connect HANA with Analysis for MS Office. I have a 64 bit SAP HANA Studio.

When i am going for configuration of Data Sources (ODBC)

I am able to successfully connect with HANA DB.

But when i am searching the same HANA DB in Analysis for MS Office, i am not able to find the same.

Is it because of the reason HANAstudio of 64bit, or am i missing something else.

Please provide your expert comment.

Regards,

Shekhar

Hi - you haven't said which version you are using; if you are on later versions please use Subhash's document to create an http connection to HANA - see

The error message says the connection is closed; have you tried troubleshooting with your HANA admin?

Not till this time, but i checked my HANA is up and running, from my hana studio.

Will let you know what the Admin says on it.

Many thanks Tammy,

I checked with the admin, and sitting with him we eventually got one solution.

The port was closed and admin had to open the port to fetch the data .

Shekhar
