I’ve observed that whenever I modify a purchase order (PO) line item—whether it’s adjusting the quantity or price—the latest order date automatically changes to the current date. Consequently, this alteration impacts the PO delivery date, pushing it to a distant future date. Despite having already confirmed the delivery date with the vendor and updating the AB confirmation in the PO, even minor adjustments to the item description seem to affect the delivery date.
Now, my question is: Is this behavior intended by SAP, or is it a bug?
We had previously finalized the delivery date with the vendor, and their confirmation aligns with our records. However, any subsequent change to the item description unexpectedly influences the PO delivery date.
Is there a way to ensure that the PO’s latest order date remains fixed to the original date, regardless of subsequent modifications?
