Recently new features were released to streamline the creation process and the member handling of workspaces in SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition. Among these features you will find: a new workspace creation dialog the removal of external workspaces as a separate workspace type   a consistent user experience between private and public workspaces expanded access control concepts: external users can now access public and private workspaces as members See also the information in the What's New Viewer from April 18, 2024.  These are the major innovations for workspaces: Removal of External Workspaces You cannot create anymore “External Workspaces”. When you create a new workspace, you can choose between creating a public workspace or a private workspace: What are public workspaces? Workspaces that all users can view, join and collaborate in. Members can be invited to join or they can search for the workspace using the search functionality or by browsing on the workspaces screen and then request to join. Also non-members can join a public workspace - depending on the settings defined by the administrator. What are private workspaces? Workspaces that only those users can join, who are invited to the workspace. In general, private workspaces are hidden and can't be found with the search functionality. If you're not invited to a private workspace, you can't see it on the workspaces screen unless the workspace administrator has defined the setting to Allow users to request to join this workspace. Migration of External Workspaces to Private Workspaces Existing external workspaces will be migrated automatically to private workspaces. An external warning icon will be added to the workspace header to indicate that the content of this workspace is visible to external users: Handling of External Users/Members External users can now be invited to both private and public workspaces. External users are guests of an organization, and they should not have access to any confidential or internal information. Before external users can access the system, they must be created on Identity Authentication and be provisioned by the Identity Provisioning service to SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition. For more information, see About External Users. This blog post guides you through the steps to create a private workspace. In general the creation flow is streamlined, and there is no big difference between creating private or public workspaces. How to create a workspace? When creating a new workspace, choose "Private Workspace" or "Public Workspace". In this blog post we will focus on creating a private workspace: 2. Enter a unique name and a description. Select one of the templates or you can select No Template.  Note: If the workspace is public, the description is visible for everybody in the search. When the workspace is private, the description is visible for members only after they’ve been invited to the workspace or join the workspace. You can define if the workspace is activated on creation, or you activate it later. Define the following settings: External users can access the workspace and can be invited as members. Allow all members to invite users. When not selected, only workspace admins can invite users. Allow users to request to join this workspace (for private workspaces) or Allow others to join this workspace (for public workspaces).  3. Click on Next to define the member participation settings. They can be read-only, limited or full. You also define the task, upload and approval policy: 4. Click Finish and the workspace is created. 5. You can change each of the settings in the edit mode of the workspace: 6. If needed you can change the member participation setting, for example you change the collaboration level from Full to Limited: Additional Features for Public Workspaces Collaboration Levels for Non-Members A non-member visibility is available for workspaces to give non-members access to the workspace content. Workspace admins have the choice: (1) to give non-members the same collaboration settings as members or (2) to use a new read-only mode for non-members. Hello, @Dan_Wroblewski , @MaiaraEllwanger , @marihirvi for some reasons of internet access, I need the app to be completely autonomous and not to have to load audio files from external urls. I see that images can be loaded autonomously as image assets during the programming of the app in SAP Build Apps. I ask to have the same function for audio files (I dont need for video files) to load them as assets inside the apps. How can this be achieved or a new component need to be designed? Perhaps I'm missing something but I can't get the "scroll to" flow function to scroll to the top of a page after a button press. Reference documentation for the function states that the page will be set to a selected Y-coordinate that is a distance in pixels from the top of the page. So when I set my Y-coordinate to 0, that should scroll the page to the top right? However nothing is happening  For context, I have a social photography sharing app that deals with long lists with image components. It is not possible performance wise to load hundreds of these image posts at once therefore I wish to load only a few at a time. When the user gets to the bottom of a list, they tap a "load more" button and a new batch of posts is presented.  In order to maintain app performance, the first batch of posts is discarded while the new batch is in view. However this new batch starts at the bottom of a list and I wish to start at the top hence the need for the "scroll to" function.  I also tried using recycler view,  but I was not able to get good performance so I opted to use page pagination instead with a scroll view. I have a user on iOS 15.8.2 that can't access the app. Every time he clicks on the app icon, the app appears and then disappears in 2 seconds. It seems to be a problem with iOS 15 I think. I have tried this on 2 different phones running iOS 15.8.2. A iPhone 6 plus and iPhone 7 plus. Same issue. Do you know of any solutions for this? ... View more

Dear SAP Builders, this is my first post here so I'm excited for your feedback. I'm prototyping a simple automation for web GUI App in a S4 Public Cloud system. This is my first web automation using Build Process Automation. I have used different RPA tools in the past. I had planned to use environmental variables to store the system domain, in case the automation will be used for different target systems. However I wasn't able to use variables in application path and recognition criteria. I'd like to know if there is a way to make application details dynamic? Hi all, As you can see in the illustration, my attempt to follow along with the offical SAP Youtube video from a a few months ago, is stymied by the failure of the "Save Entity" button to ever enable|activate. Even after I've provided a basic string property.  Can someone please help? I understand integrations and the pro build are the path ahead, I'm just hoping I can get this "use old firebase entities path" restored? Hello Builders, I have been experiencing a content blocking error in Build Process Automation. Larger automations have been breaking when after significant changes are made. For example, if you switch out a considerable sized component. This causes an error-on-load of the automation. This error blocks you from opening the automation completely. You can activate dependencies if you like but this will not fix the error. You are left with a frozen automation and are forced to create the automation from the start. Copying and pasting large automations to other projects creates the same error. The error that this scenario creates is the following: Unable to load the automation with ID ... The automation definition could not be correctly deserialized. Hello team, I am trying to create a custom component for the marketplace that simply displays points on a leaflet map. I try to create a new component by converting a container into a new component. I then add a custom javascript in the logic that defines the leaflet map when the page is mounted. I set the style to a fixed height and width of 500 px. But when I test, nothing shows. Has anyone tried this?
