Interest Posting is generated on the same date as as of contract cutover balance

Hi All,

I have an issue that during lease cutover upload, while running the contract valuation i have the interest posting generated as well

cutover date is 29.02.2024

i've added the Net worth Value condition as on 29.02.2024 and the basic rent starting from next month onwards 29.02.2024

for Valuation parameter, the start of consideration is 29.02.2024

but will running RECEEP as on 29.02.2024 i have the interest posting generated as along with the asset posting. whereas I'm expectation interest to start from next month onwards.

and when i change start of consideration date to 01.03.2024 i dont have the asset valuation posting generated as on 29.02.2024

Kindly advise.

Hi Charmaine,

Did you have a look at OSS note (3445243 - Application example for transition scenario 1 mentioned in SAP Note 2544232 - Leasing:Handling transition scenarios)? This is probably not exactly your scenario if you are migrating the assets as well.

However the dates mentioned in the OSS note are the ones to be used. So you will create the condition and the start of consideration on the first day of a month. The legacy transfer is done on the last day of the previous period according to the legacy transfer date. The legacy asset is added into the lease contract (so there is no asset generated) and from the first of the month the postings will be done correctly.

Hi Jereon,

Thanks for sharing the details, sorry to add on this thread with another query regarding the offset GL accounts.

We are using the lease asset clearing account  the one used in ROU & LL posting as the offsetting account for the asset transfer (leased assets) by replacing the original account used for fixed asset balance transfer.

Should the account be the same or the offsetting account for leased asset are to migrated against the same offset account as fixed assets.
