I’ve often talked about the fact that the sheer number of SAP’s small and midsize customers (SMEs) is a well kept secret – some 80% of our 112,000 customers are SMEs. Recognizing this, we’ve built a significant presence at SAP’s premier customer event – SAPPHIRE NOW — over the last few years. The SME campus in Orlando this past May was extremely well attended, with customers of all sizes exploring solutions either for themselves (SMEs) or for their subsidiaries (LEs) and market watchers recognizing depth and breadth of our solutions as well as the importance of this segment for SAP.
