The recent hacking of Mat Honan (senior reporter for Gizmodo and former WIRED contributing editor) shocked most, but I think many in the world of cloud computing security expected it. Indeed, hackers were able to crack Mat’s accounts with ease.
Honan’s story, which he chronicled in a detailed story for Wired late Monday, explains how a Friday-night hack quickly snowballed and took down many of his digital accounts: Amazon, Apple iCloud, Gmail and Twitter, plus the data on his three Apple devices. Now, that’s a bad day.
