For the teams within SAP, the SAPPHIRE NOW journey started many months ago. I, along with many colleagues, have been steadily preparing for this world-class event that’s due to begin soon in Orlando on May 14^th. Thankfully, our customer presenters, and certainly the attendees, don’t have to go through months of preparation like the team inside SAP before enjoying the finished, and somewhat polished, end result.

The numbers paint a clear picture – we’re not out of the woods yet.

In 2012, China’s economic growth rate dropped to 7.6% from a rate of 10.4% in 2010, marking a three-year low and six consecutive quarters of increasingly sluggish growth. The European Union’s GDP fell 0.6% in the fourth quarter of 2012, while in the United States the GDP fell 1%, marking the first drop in three and a half years.
