It’s obvious that digital data use, structured and unstructured, is exploding. It’s also obvious that adoption of technology will depend on how the technology is served as the millennial and digital-native generations become the majority workforce in the coming decade.
In his keynote address at SAPPHIRENOW, Dr. Vishal Sikka shared how SAP is thinking hard about this paradigm shift by ’simplifying complexity’ for the developer community. The entire development process —writing code, checking in code, compiling code, transferring code to a test bed, running code, and verifying results—is lengthy and complicated. (Ask any developer about their current process and you will hear a number of sighs.) But it is simplified greatly with demonstrable business outcomes for developer efficiency.
Similarly, the demands of the business community for an easy, intuitive, and self-service way to access analytics and intelligent data was a theme heard at SAPPHIRENOW Madrid.
